New updates and improvements to DeskCove

  1. New Update: 3.12.1

    Announcement

     

    We kindly request that you update to version 3.12.1 in order to restore the functionality of your client tracker. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused over the weekend.

     

    The issue stemmed from a framework/SSL problem that was utilized within Deskcove. It took us some time to fully understand and resolve the root cause.

     

    Here are the instructions to update:

     

    In order for the time you worked in the previous days to be restored, you need to download the new one and replace it with the old one without deleting the existing Deskcove application.

     

    1. Please refrain from uninstalling or deleting anything from the previous version.

    2. Download the latest version, 3.12.1.

    3. Install the application.

    4. Run the application and start the timer.

     

    After updating, your previous time should begin syncing to your dashboard. It may take a few minutes, as there could be a backlog in the queue.

    Therefore, please allow approximately 10 minutes for the time to start appearing on your timesheets. If it still does not show up, kindly quit and reopen the application, then start running the timer again.

  2. RESOLVED: Deskcove Client Connection Issue

    Dear Users,

     

    We sincerely apologize for the ongoing issues you have been experiencing with the time tracker. It has come to our attention that some users have been unable to login and track time on the client application, while accessing the dashboard has not been affected.

     

    The root cause of this problem lies in our server provider's renewed SSL certificate, which our client application has been unable to adapt to. We understand the frustration and inconvenience this has caused, and we deeply regret any disruptions to your workflow.

     

    Please be assured that we are actively collaborating with our third-party provider to address and resolve this matter as soon as possible. Your patience and understanding during this time are greatly appreciated.

     

    Once again, we apologize for any inconveniences you may have faced, and we are committed to restoring a smooth and reliable time tracking experience for all our users.

    Today we have released some updates to DeskCove dashboard.

  6. Stuck on Loading Screen?

    Hi Everyone,

     

    A few users may be experiencing a stuck white loading screen on Windows Installations.

     

    This is not the case for MacOS or Linux users

    If you are experiencing this issue, it is possible that your Windows installation is missing a crucial dependency.

     

    You can fix this by installing the most recent Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable package. This is a prerequisite for our application to function.

     

    Steps to Follow:

    1. Quit DeskCove client App

    2. Install the latest Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable package 

    3. Restart your computer (sometimes not necessary)

    4. Open DeskCove Client App.

     

        

     

  7. Network Interruptions:: RESOLVED

  9. Network Outage :: RESOLVED

    Our data-centers are currently having an outage with some of their services.

    We are standing by waiting and working with them.

     

    Currently all users are experiencing down-time.
